# Plan (`mttr_plan`)

Updated October 24, 2026.

## What does mttr_plan do?

The fixes worth the most as ordered steps, each with what to do, a few of its pages and the points it is worth, and the words to hand an assistant to work through them. Any key may make this call, on any public site.

Who may call it: Any key.

## When to use it

- You want a short plan rather than the whole list.
- You want words ready to paste into an assistant.

## What you ask

You might say: “Make me a plan for example.com.”

```
mttr_plan({ site: "example.com" })
```

| Argument | Type | Needed | What it is |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `site` | Text | Yes | The site, as a domain such as example.com. |

## What comes back

- The four fixes worth the most, as steps.
- A few pages for each and the points each is worth.
- The words to hand an assistant, ready to copy.

A sample, with made-up sites and figures:

1. Show sources on guides (Trust), 12 pages, worth 4.1 points
2. Answer the first question right under it (Understand), 9 pages, worth 3.2 points
3. Add a tap-to-call link (Act), 22 pages, worth 2.6 points
4. Describe images (Understand), 31 pages, worth 1.4 points

## Over HTTP

```
curl "https://mttr.si/api/v1/sites/example.com/plan" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $MTTR_KEY"
```

## When it fails

| When | Status | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Your assistant has no key yet | 401 over MCP | Sign up with `mttr_signup`, then connect again with the key it gives. |
| mttr has no public report of the site yet | 404 | Ask for a read with `mttr_rescan`, then watch it with `mttr_job`. |
