## Introduction **GetDataBack Pro** © 2001-2024 by Runtime Software LLC | | Phone (USA): +1-888-777-6960 Email: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) , Web: [http://www.runtime.org](http://www.runtime.org/) | | --- | --- | GetDataBack Pro recovers files from Windows, Mac, or Linux drives when the data is no longer accessible due to formatting, partitioning, virus attack, power or software failure, deletion of files. ##### GetDataBack Pro supports the file systems: | **NTFS** | **exFAT** | **FAT12,16** | **FAT32** | **EXT** | **HFS+** | **APFS** | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Windows | Windows | Windows | Windows | Linux | Apple Mac | Apple Mac | GetDataBack is read-only, meaning the program does not attempt to write to the drive you are about to recover. **Note:** If you are going to perform a recovery, DO NOT install this software, or anything else, on the drive you want to recover. Connect the drive containing the lost data as a second drive to a well-prepared machine. ##### GetDataBack recovers data from: | **DRIVE** | **TYPE** | **REMARKS** | | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | | **Hard drive** | [Physical drive](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/physical.htm) | IDE, SATA, SCSI, any capacity | | | **SSD** | [Physical drive](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/physical.htm) | SATA, internal, any capacity | | | **USB Drive** | [Physical drive](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/physical.htm) | USB, USB-2, USB-3, USB-C, any capacity | | | **Floppy** | [Physical drive](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/physical.htm) | 3.5", 5.25", Zip, Jaz drive, any capacity | | | **SD Card** | [Physical drive](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/physical.htm) | Standard and Micro SD, SDHC, SDXC, Memory Sticks | | | **Flash drive** | [Physical drive](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/physical.htm) | Flash drives, Thumb drives | | | **Volume** | [Logical drive](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/logical.htm) | Volumes or drives represented by letters A:, B:, C:, etc. | | | **Image** | [Image file](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/image.htm) | Sector-by-sector drive images as created by [GetDataBack](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/create_image.htm), [DiskExplorer](http://www.runtime.org/diskexplorer.htm), [RAID Reconstructor](http://www.runtime.org/raid.htm), Linux DD | | | **RAID** | [Virtual Image file](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/arrangement.htm) | Virtual Images as created by [RAID Reconstructor](http://www.runtime.org/raid.htm) | GetDataBack Pro runs as a native 64-bit application under 64-bit Windows or as a 32-bit application under 32-bit Windows. The minimal Windows version is Windows Vista. #### Do's and Don'ts in Data Recovery **Do not write anything to the drive you want to recover the data from!** That includes installing programs, surfing the internet, or even booting from that drive. Instead, attach the drive as a second drive to a working system. Install and run GetDataBack on the healthy system. Read the page about **How to Do a [Data Recovery](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/recovery.htm) Right**. If you suspect that your drive may have a physical problem or if you get [read errors](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/io_error.htm) during the scan with GetDataBack, consider making an [image](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/create_image.htm) of the drive first. If your drive has severe physical problems, we strongly recommend that you refrain from all do-it-yourself data recovery attempts and send the drive to a specialized lab. Scanning an external drive can be very time consuming, especially when using USB. If possible, remove the drive from its enclosure and attach it directly to your computer's internal SATA cable. Please search the [internet](http://www.google.com/search?q=install+hard+drive) for help on how to do this. If you have any questions about this software, check out our [FAQ](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/gdbfaq.htm) or contact [technical support](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/support.htm). **See also:** [Doing a recovery](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/recovery.htm), [FAQ](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/gdbfaq.htm), [Checklist](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/checklist.htm), [Create Image](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/create_image.htm), [Support](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/support.htm), [License Agreement](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/disclaimer.htm), [License Key](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/register.htm) **<<** Introduction [[Select Drive](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/step1.htm) **>** [Select File System](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/step2.htm) **>** [Recovery Tree](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/step3.htm)] [Settings](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/options.htm) [Menu](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/menu.htm) [Support](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/support.htm) [Glossary](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/glossary.htm) **[>>](https://runtime.org/help_gdb_chm/step1.htm)**

What to do next
Fix the pages, let an agent do it, and read the site again to see the figures move.
Fix what agents miss
- Wrap 99 pages in <main>Clean measured
- Give 51 pages a main headingClearer
Connect your agent
Claude Code, Codex or Cursor reads the site’s fixes over MCP, fixes a page in your code, has mttr read it again, and checks the fix landed.

Claim the site
Prove it is yours with a DNS record or a file. Your agent can then reach its reads and jobs, and set each change to wait for your approval.
Claim the siteDrawn from the HTML mttr fetched on its read of October 23, 2026, not a screenshot, and only from the 99 pages read, where the read stopped at its page limit. An assistant’s own reader may differ. Tokens are estimated at about 4 characters each. A site an agent reads well is not a site an assistant cites.
