We Have a Plumber!!!
Dear JEM Plumbing:
We’ve recently moved back to Ohio after living in Illinois for 25 years. We had a BAD experience with a bathroom remodel when we lived in Illinois, so I have a lot of anxiety about any type of home improvement/repairs. We also have some family horror stories about running toilets ruining parts of family members’ homes. Our actual plumber in Illinois for regular repairs was our neighbor who lived down the street, so I was completely comfortable with them. Moving back here, we had to create a whole new repertoire of service people. I’ve been relying on my sister’s suggestions since we moved back, and it’s been good so far. She recommended JEM for our running toilet.
Carson and Tristan were RIGHT ON TIME at the actual start of the window they gave me, so we did not have to wait three hours as it is my husband’s birthday and we had some plans. They were POLITE, PROFESSIONAL, and KNOWLEDGEABLE about the problem. We had all new toilets installed when we moved in three years ago, so I was a little annoyed that we are already repairing it, but Carson assured me it’s actually a pretty good toilet and just had a faulty part. It seemed like Tristan was maybe an apprentice (?) If so, I have a lot of respect for the way Carson was instructing and guiding him through the process. Although I prefer to remain ignorant, Carson asked me to come in so that he could show me what was happening and why. I actually learned a little by just listening to him talk to Tristan. Maybe next time I can just watch one of those many DIY YouTube videos about how to fix my toilet! Or not. Because NOW WE HAVE A PLUMBER!!!!! He was also upfront about the pricing and what the cost would be prior to doing the repair. He even checked on another toilet that would randomly run for no reason.

In all seriousness, while they did briefly entertain some of my old lady stories of running toilets gone awry, I was most impressed with how professional and knowledgeable they are. I should also mention how kind and flexible the company is in general. Natalie was so patient and kind as I had to move the appointment around a couple of times due to unforeseen circumstances. Thank you from a new customer! Denise Carson Earliwine: Service Technician Tristan Yoder, Plumbing Apprentice
