Fall Aeration is Beneficial to Your Lawn
September 13, 2013
Fall is an ideal time for aerating. The summer temperatures have cooled with more moisture in the ground.
Aeration helps the existing turf by improving the depth and extent of turf grass rooting, allowing better water uptake, enhancing fertilizer use, loosening compacted soil and speeding up thatch breakdown. The cores are left on the lawn and will break down, returning your own topsoil to the lawn. All of this contributes greatly to improving the overall health and thickening of existing turf.

# Fall Aeration is Beneficial to Your Lawn September 13, 2013 **Fall** is an ideal time for **aerating**. The summer temperatures have cooled with more moisture in the ground. **Aeration** helps the existing turf by improving the depth and extent of turf grass rooting, allowing better water uptake, enhancing fertilizer use, loosening compacted soil and speeding up thatch breakdown. We at **Wright Landscape** strongly recommend an **annual** aeration **either spring or fall**. **Seeding** can also be done at the time of aeration to achieve the right seed to soil contact generating new growth. ### Categories - [Landscape Design](https://www.wrightlandscape.ca/blog/category/landscape-design/) - [Water Issues & Solutions](https://www.wrightlandscape.ca/blog/category/water-issues-solutions/) - [Invasive Pests & Plants](https://www.wrightlandscape.ca/blog/category/invasive-bugs-pests/) - [Lawn & Garden Care](https://www.wrightlandscape.ca/blog/category/lawn-garden-care/) - [Property Maintenance](https://www.wrightlandscape.ca/blog/category/property-maintenance/) - [Winter Maintenance](https://www.wrightlandscape.ca/blog/category/winter-maintenance/) - [Company News](https://www.wrightlandscape.ca/blog/category/company-news/) ### Need inspiration? Prove it is yours with a DNS record or a file. Your agent can then reach its reads and jobs, and set each change to wait for your approval.
Claim the siteDrawn from the HTML mttr fetched on its read of October 24, 2026, not a screenshot, and only from the 100 pages read, where the read stopped at its page limit. An assistant’s own reader may differ. Tokens are estimated at about 4 characters each. A site an agent reads well is not a site an assistant cites.
