mttr and Rank Math
Rank Math sets the titles, schema and sitemaps of a WordPress site, with modules for redirects, 404s, indexing and llms.txt, and an MCP server so an agent can change them. mttr reads the live pages, the way search engines and AI assistants do, and checks each change took.
Keep Rank Math. Add mttr on top.
mttr is not a replacement for Rank Math. It is a free layer that reads your pages the way search engines and AI assistants do.
What Rank Math is best at
- Schema in many typesA schema generator for articles, products, local businesses, FAQs and more, post by post.
- Modules built inRedirections, a 404 monitor, instant indexing and llms.txt, each switched on as needed.
- Search Console inside WordPressSearches, clicks and positions shown beside each post.
- An MCP serverAn agent can read Rank Math’s reports and change its settings on your site.
What mttr adds on top
- Pages read as an AI crawler gets themThe words in the HTML before any script, whether robots.txt and the firewall let GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot in, and one address for each page.
- Structured data that fits the pageWhether each block of JSON-LD parses and whether its type fits what the page is, with a free creator that writes it.
- Fixes ranked by what they are worthEach failing rule weighed by its stage and by how many pages miss it, so the first fix is the one that moves the most.
- A loop your agent runsThe plan in your agent’s words for Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, and 62 MCP tools: it makes each change, asks for a fresh read, and mttr says which rules now pass.

Questions
Is mttr a Rank Math alternative?
No. Rank Math changes your WordPress site; mttr changes nothing. It reads the live pages the way search engines and AI assistants do and says what to fix, free.
Can I use mttr with Rank Math?
Yes, and one agent can work with both. Rank Math’s MCP server lets it change the site’s SEO settings; mttr’s gives it the fixes in order and checks each one on the live site.
Rank Math scores my posts. Why does mttr score differently?
Rank Math scores a post against a focus keyword in the editor. mttr scores the whole live site against one rulebook in four stages, as crawlers and assistants get it. Its score says pages are well formed, not that an assistant cites the site.
Is mttr free?
Yes. Reading any public site is free, with no sign-up: the first 100 pages, a score, its place and the fixes worth the most. An email gets a key, and the key connects your agent.
mttr with other tools
mttr sits on top of each, on the same terms.
